Sweating profusely can be embarrassing especially when you’re out there trying to socialize or even worst when you’re on a date. The more you think about it, the more you get anxious, the more you sweat. Depending which areas of your body you tend to sweat a lot, there’s a way on how to treat excessive perspiration naturally. A safe and natural way to cure profuse sweating is baking soda.

This is a very cheap natural cure and almost everyone has a baking soda in the kitchen. This will not only cure palm sweating but overall body sweating as well. A lot of people actually use it as a deodorant. I personally use it to eliminate odor in my shoes and it really works better than those expensive shoe sprays. It also conditions the skin to sweat less. How does it actually work? Baking soda is an alkaline and sweat is an acid and when they combine, the sweat evaporates instantly in the form of gas. The compound’s residue on the skin causes dryness therefore prevents excessive sweating.

If you want to treat excessive perspiration in your hands, all you have to do is fill up a large bowl with warm or hot water (depending on what you can tolerate) and then put some equal parts of baking soda to make the water really cloudy. Soak your hands for 25 minutes and then dry them off with a clean towel. Do this before your bedtime to avoid washing your hands with soap and water. I wouldn’t recommend cold water or room temperature water because you want your pores to be opened so that the solution can deeply penetrate into your skin. Use this solution for 5 straight days to see if there’s any improvement.

If you have excessive perspiration in the body, you might want to try incorporating baking soda in your bath routine. Before you soak in the tub filled with warm water and 1 cup of baking soda, you have to exfoliate your skin by using a loofah or a shower sponge. Concentrate on the areas where you sweat the most like your armpits, feet or palms. After you’re done exfoliating, soak in the tub for 15 to 20 minutes and make sure you rub the baking soda on affected areas. Dry off with a towel. This is also a great way for eliminating body odor.
